Well. . . I assume he filed a FAFSA form to apply for financial aid. And most people do this on the internet. . . so he should be able to log into his account on the government web site. There he should be able to see if his financial aid was approved. . . . There should be some sort of status. However, I usually am notified by my school when my aid offer comes through. They have my email address and send me an automatic notifcation.

So have him check the FAFSA web site. If there is nothing there, he might need to contact the school he is planning on attending. He would need to contact their financial aid department. (that’s assuming he chose them as a school when he filled out the application for financial aid).

Well not sure if he can fill out a FAFSA, unless he is an American citizen. It’s hard to get federal aid, unless he’s been living here for years and has U. S. citizenship.

If money is tight, it would be wise to attend community college for the first 2 years because it’s cheaper.

Then transfer to the University of his choice and that should save some money. Plus he can work while going to community college.
