Sounds a little steep to me. Body Lifts are not good on CJ-7's. They should have done a spring over and no body lift. No front fenders will make it illegal to drive on the streets. The AMC 304 engine has a lot or torque and the injection system is great, but those engines only last 60,000 miles on a good day. my 1979 CJ-7 has 86,000 miles on it and has blown up twice. It is in the middle of getting a sbc transplant.
CJ-7's are GREAT Jeeps but they ride rough on the road. If you do buy it, look into a shackle reversal kit for the front, it will improve the ride quality. 4:10 gears will be fine on the street and the 4:1 T case kicks butt in the dirt. The SS tires are not good on the street, they get hot and blow out on long trips (experience taught me that one)
It seems to have a lot of bells and whistles that you could not replace for the price of the Jeep, but I would have it checked out by an off road shop before buying it.

Two things u might want to check b/4 buying, as an earlier person said if it was street legal (if not then ur going to need a trailer to haul it around) also, check the frame to make sure its not bent or cracked somewhere and the tub is it in good shape not full on rust wholes, as if u have to replace the tub after all its really not worth all the goodies. Remember this vehicle has been used in extreme offroading so check carefully.

You don't say if its a soft or hard top, but either will cost you at least another thousand if all its got is the Bikini. Another thing you need to discover is if its street legal, this is not the same as road worthy.

Sounds like it is ready to roll. I would tell you that the gear combination will not give you very good fuel economy. CJ 7's from the early 80's were known to be top heavy so the full roll cage is a good idea. Make sure that the cage is attached to the frame and not just the body.
